Emergency Removal Support

We know that often times when kids are removed they go back to the DCS office until placement is secure. However, The Cooper House welcomes these children & caseworkers into our home where volunteers will be ready to love, care and meet the needs of the children.

Caseworkers:

  • You do need to stay with the children while they are at TCH.

  • Children can stay up to 24 hours. We have plenty of beds.

  • We do have lice kits, new clothes, a bathtub/shower and a washer & dryer.

  • All volunteers have been background & criminal checked by DCS.

  • You can work on your case report and/or make phone calls to secure placement and/or catch up on some work. Our volunteers will care for the children’s needs. Of course, jump in on a game or two if you want! We want to serve you, too! We appreciate you!

If you are a caseworker and have an emergency removal,
