who we serve

We walk alongside children and families before, during, and after child welfare involvement, offering practical help to keep families safely together, a welcoming place to connect when they’re apart, and continued support after reunification.

Some families need support to keep their children safe at home and prevent the need for Department of Child Services (DCS) involvement. Others have an open DCS case, including families whose children are placed in foster care. We also support families after reunification, when children return home and parents navigate life together again.

We come alongside the caseworkers serving these children and families, offering encouragement, appreciation, and resources to support their work.

how we help

• Family preservation—helping families stay together: We provide practical assistance and supportive relationships to help parents meet their children’s needs and provide a safe, stable home.
  What this can look like: A parent needs two car seats to safely transport their children, and we help meet that need.

• Family connection—supporting visitation time together: We provide a safe, welcoming, home-like space for visits between children and their parents while they are separated, supporting connection and relationship as families work toward reunification.
  What this can look like: A mother and her children cook a meal together, play a board game, and spend meaningful time together in a space that feels like home.

• Emergency removal support—providing comfort during transitions: We provide a safe, welcoming, caring, and home like space for foster children who have been removed from their homes or experienced a placement disruption while their caseworker arranges an appropriate placement. This is short-term transitional support, not a shelter or foster placement. Children and their caseworker may be with us for a few hours or overnight.
  What this can look like: A foster child arrives during a difficult day and is welcomed with a warm meal, a cozy blanket, a duffle bag of new clothing, and someone ready to listen.

• Support after reunification—continuing to walk alongside families: We provide encouragement and practical assistance as children return home and families navigate ongoing needs.
  What this can look like: After their children return home, a parent reaches out during a hard week and finds a familiar person ready to listen, encourage, and pray with them.

• Caseworker support—caring for those who care for families: We provide meals, appreciation gifts, and regular encouragement, along with practical items to help meet the needs of the children and families they serve.
  What this can look like: A caseworker picks up clothing for a child through our Community Closet and receives encouragement—and lunch—during a demanding week.

Through every stage, we offer support and encouragement rooted in the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Regardless of a family’s circumstances or the outcome of their case, we want them to know they are seen, heard, chosen, and loved.
